 CommentaryThis case illustrates videocapsule imaging of an area of focal segmental ischemia, usual presentations of which are acute enteritis (mimicking appendicitis), chronic enteritis (mimicking Crohn's disease), and small bowel stricture with obstruction and bacterial overgrowth. Timing of the patient's deterioration because of perforation was unrelated to the capsule, but allowed histologic confirmation of the diagnosis.Lawrence J. Brandt, MDAssociate Editor of Focal Points
