In the article “Photodynamic therapy with porfimer sodium for ablation of high-grade dysplsia in Barrett's esophagus: international, partially blinded, randomized phase III trial,” printed in the October 2005 issue of GIE (Gastrointest Endosc 2005;62:488-98), an incorrect percentage is provided for the OM group in the abstract. The value 20% should be 28%. The correct sentence should have been written as: The occurrence of adenocarcinoma in the PORPDT group (13%) (n = 18) was significantly lower (p < 0.006) compared with the OM group (28%) (n = 20).
