Gastrointestinal Endoscopy - CME Program
Each CME activity consists of reading the designated CME articles in GIE, completing a single exam with multiple choice questions followed by a brief post-test evaluation.
Each activity is available for CME credit for two years after publication.
Instructions
  1. To start an activity, read the articles from the issue for which you would like to earn CME credit. If you do not have your issue easily accessible, articles can be accessed from GIE online.
  2. After reading the articles designated for the CME activity, select the issue from the list to the right.
  3. For each multiple choice question, select the single best answer. You will be able to change your answer until you click on the finish button. You may complete the activity in one sitting or you may save your work in progress and complete it at a later date. You may create a free personal account to return to your work in progress and track your progress through the program.
  4. After answering the questions, complete the post-exam evaluation and click submit. You will then be issued your score.
  5. Persons scoring greater than or equal to 75% pass the exam and can print a CME certificate. Persons scoring less than 75% cannot print a CME certificate, however they can retake the exam. Exams can be saved to be accessed at a later date. Follow the screen prompts to create a free personal account.
Continuing Medical Education
The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The ASGE designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Activity Start Date: When the monthly issue goes live.
Activity Expiration Date: Two years from the date of issue.

  1. Scroll to the top and click on the message regarding "pop-ups."
  2. Agree to allow pop-ups (for this program only) and follow the additional prompts.
  3. The exam will then appear.
  4. If your browser is Safari, follow these steps to enable pop-ups : 1) open the Safari window; from the top menu click Safari; Unselect the option (if selected) - "Block Pop-Up Windows."
