62 Over-The-Scope-Clips Versus Standard Endoscopic Therapy in Patients With Recurrent Peptic Ulcer Bleeding and a Prospective Randomized, Multicenter Trial (Sting)

      Endoscopic hemostasis with through-the-scope clips (TTSC) plus injection therapy is highly effective for bleeding peptic ulcers. However, re-bleeding is difficult to treat and associated with substantial morbidity and mortality. There is growing evidence that application of over-the-scope clips (OTSC) is an effective treatment modality for severe upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Prospective randomized trials are lacking to date.
