213 Long-Term Clinical Outcomes of Eus-Guided Gallbladder Drainage Eus-Gbd With Lumen-Apposing Metal Stents (LAMS)

In expert hands, EUS-GBD with nasobiliary drains is comparable to percutaneous GB drainage in poor operative candidates with acute cholecystitis [Jang-et-al, Gastro-12]. Preliminary data on long-term outcomes of EUS-GBD using standard tubular SEMS or novel LAMS are promising. However, the longest median follow-up reported after EUS-GBD with either type of stent is one year. Longer term data are necessary to establish LAMS EUS-GBD as a definitive therapy in poor opearative risk patients with gallbladder disease.
