Published:February 09, 2021DOI:https://doi.org/10.1016/j.gie.2021.02.002
A 22-year-old woman presented to our emergency department with a clinical picture of right upper quadrant abdominal pain. She had been involved in a fight with gunshots 4 years earlier (in another country), with an injury in the abdominal region. Urgent laparotomy was performed, and the bullet could not be located. At that time, no other examinations were carried out. In our hospital, laboratory tests showed no relevant findings. An abdominal radiograph showed a metal object in the right upper quadrant (A). Abdominal US showed mild dilatation of the common bile duct (CBD) with a foreign body, probably the bullet, inside it.
